BioBorn during January, my mother kicked the obstetrician (who had traveled more than an hour in a blinding storm) across the delivery room. I weighed less than 5 pounds at full term. The family doctor got into a shouting match with the maternity ward nurse that he didn't care how much I weighed--I had a fully developed respiratory system and wasn't going into the incubator (a sentiment offered with lots of swearing in German, if I know Dr. Mathias).
