Words have power

We all have things that push our buttons. This is one of mine:

How can women who refer to their own bodies with a level of disrespect that confounds comprehension ever expect anyone else to respect those same bodies? If we don't respect ourselves, in our care of our bodies, in how we refer to our bodies, no one else will, ever. There is no linguistic defense, no defense at all, for using such an insulting word for any part of our bodies. Just stop it. Now.

So, gentlemen, just because the women use the term, doesn't mean you should, unless you really mean to insult the woman, and all women. And ladies--knock it off. You disrespect yourselves, your mothers, and all your sisters every time you use it.
