Fencers and Friends

For those who are interested in the art of fence and knew and loved the Green and Gold one, I share with you this:

Blades and Blarney XII

This is being done with our blessing, and some details were arranged with and approved by us. We will be there. We hope to see many of you that day as well.

Allez!

i don't know if i can talk matthew into it, and it's the last month of classes, but i'll see what i can do.

how far is the event past your place? i don't know that end of the state really at all, and no idea how long a drive i'm looking at (especially important if i'm driving alone).

I'm not sure it's a good choice for the two of you (2 hours EAST of us in the East Kingdom). We're hoping to do the heavy memorial tournament at Summer's End in Beau Fleuv in September. Why don't you shoot for that?

because at least one of us might desperately need the get-out-of-town-and-away-from-the-end-of-term-crushing-deadlines break by then ;-)

but you're right, two hours further east is tricky to manage. (though if i come through montreal, i can crash with my Pelican and likely do the leg southward in the morning; montreal's ~6 hours from here. hrm....) looks like the event conflicts with an event an hour from here that i had apparently been contemplating attending. hrmph, and pout. ah well, i'd still get out of town, just not so extravagantly :-P

when is the Summer's End event?

Fly into Albany.

Stay at my house.

I can get us on the MoL table, and you can choose whether to be the good cop or the bad cop.

;)

Next week is our King's and Queen's, and my daughter Leonete will be playing your role alongside me and the Kingdom MoL.

I am incredibly impressed by the folks in my local group.

Wow, that's cool.

Unfortunately, Her Majesty will be at an RP in Montreal.

I am now re-evaluating my plans.

Pierre and I had already decided to go. It'll be my first time for this event.

We will do our best to be there. We would love to see you, and 3 hours seems a manageable day trip, even with a feisty four year old.

It looks like a lovely event and a great tribute. 7 hours each way right now though... I can't do it.

See my response to Much_ado above. Much more manageable for you than Glenn Linn.
