The most interesting thing to me about this is NOT the views of the author, but that her mother survived for YEARS after this diagnosis, was productive, and did so pretty much the way any of us who have a chronic problem get by--through a lot of alternative methods. My point is not about alternative medicine, but about people finding alternatives within a system that is increasingly stacked against us.

I cannot afford to go get a formal diagnosis now. It's not about money. It's because the system is simply, and incorrigibly biased. It's also not going to stop being biased anytime in our lifetimes, or likely ever.
