Busy girl is busy

Packing, sorting, etc. etc. When I'm not totally the slave of my cat, that is.

I'm trying to be good and making sure that before a book finds its way into the donation bag I make sure I've logged it into GoodReads, so at least I know I've read it. Setting aside a very few to hold on to. All my Darkover, Dernyi, Babylon 5, and Angelique books get saved. The really good Star Trek books. Apparently Rachel Caine, Jim Butcher, and Kim Harrison paperbacks don't make the cut, nor do Star Wars volumes. Nor David Drake, David Weber, or S.M. Stirling. Though I tend to enjoy them all. The Sharon Kay Penman War of the Roses books do, but the Angevin Dynasty ones don't. Ah, well. I'm not even going to try to figure out the logic of it, just go with it.

I am in hopes that since all of the local libraries have had to cut back on both buying new works, and worker hours, that they will find some use for these either in circulation or in sales.

I haven't quite managed to bring myself to giving up my CDs, so the boxes are filling up with those. DVDs and videotapes fall somewhere between. But I'm making progress. Also managing to whittle down the clothing stockpiles. Helps that I realized I've had some of these for 30 years, and really don't envision needing them any time in the next 30, assuming I'm lucky enough to be functioning that long. The healthy members of the family on my dad's side do, so I'm going to be a cockeyed optimist and plan for it!

Okay--enough procrastination. I have boxes to fill and papers to grade. Charge!!
