Deep Cynicism

So,the good people in Congress are concerned that a company owned by businessmen in UAE may be the wrong company to run our ports because "...the United Arab Emirates has been a country where members of Al Quaida have planned terrorist attacks, trained for terrorist attacks, and recruited terrorists."

So has Germany (Remember that apartment in Frankfort?)
So has the United States (can you say flight school? Walmart?)

Find a real reason and tell the f***ing truth, or shut the hell up.

God, I hate being on the side of GW, even if it's only on the surface. I need a shower.

I happen to agree with it.
I do not disagree with any of your arguments. However, I believe that our ports should be run by Americans, not foreign interests. No matter how vigilant our security forces are, if you have access to the controls of the ports, you will figure out a way to sneak stuff in. I realize that the security of the Ports is the responsibility of the US Coast Guard and the Border Patrol.

I try to avoid shopping at WalMart these days, and I'm giving up my Sam's Club card.

Ah, but that's a different argument, on which we agree--the whole idea that we would "outsource" the running of our ports is absurd (something I've come to expect from the feds, regardless of administration).

Ooops--lack of clarity
"Ah, but that's a different argument, on which we agree--the whole idea that we would "outsource" the running of our ports is absurd (something I've come to expect from the feds, regardless of administration)." should be followed with, "But that doesn't seem to be an issue that any of the parties involved are talking about."

Jerks.
