Yesterday was the headache from hell--an amazing burst of pain that made water run down my face like the storm at DisneyWorld (for those of you who weren't there, it was 3 years ago (see Baroness Ekat's middle picture) and my shoes still haven't dried out). That was followed by 24 hours (and counting) of pain in varying degrees from "oh what a pretty halo; back off, your aura is touching my personal space" to simply having to move like I have a Bacharate (sp) crystal glass of Perrier balanced on my head. Thank whatever part of the universe arranged it so that this hit when half the students are GONE because of the fact that we don't close for Easter doesn't mean they can suddenly find babysitters for their school age children. That, and one of my classes is 1/3 high school students in the bridge program.

Sunday we head out to Victor for Easter dinner with Dan and Trish, the Hodges Morguhn and I like the best. Two extremely boychild boys will be entertaining at the very least. Ro will be happy, we get to see her brother, Morguhn and I will be melancholy, but reasonably content.

My ambivalence to family holidays will, with luck, not be evident. And what's not to like--there will be ham!

I have to miss mass, but I'll make it sometime during Easter, just not Easter Sunday I guess. Yup, I really am the high gothic girl: must make mass once a year, whether you need it or not [sorry, too much time thinking about my Medieval/Renaissance class has led to obscure historical references].

Bunnies, and duckies, and eggs, Oh my! Weeeeee'rrrre off to see the ....

What surprises me
is that there isn't a Mass at Pennsic.

I'll have to talk to John about that.

Re: What surprises me
There's always a Sunday service at the stave church, I'm not sure which kind, though. And Charles that's on cannon crew with Rod is a priest in real life...

Re: What surprises me
Charles-Phillipe==John. We're in the same REST team at home, so we see each other once in a while. Didn't know about the stave church, never paid attention to it, since I'm usually working or asleep when they have services. And since I'm a defendant agnostic, it never really mattered to me. Perhaps, if I live to be old, I'll repent. At this point, that's looking less and less like an option. The first responders to the towers are starting to die off.

Good thoughts to you. Many good thoughts.

Re: What surprises me
I whenever they talk about the Tower cleanup I think of you. In January when the possibility was raised about how the first responder died, I thought of you. All week, I've thought of you. You're one of my favorite people, though, so I think of you often anyway.

You've just been in my prayers a bit more than usual this week.
