Saturday is for family

Saturday has turned into the domestic day for us. Probably because I end up working most of Sunday, most Sundays.

Today we did some errands (including getting a lighted/blinking collar for my sweet, black, deaf, and blind little old lady dog so we can find her in the yard at night), then went and saw Ice Age 2. Not as good as the first installment (uneven blend of sour [the mammoth], sweet [the sloth], and bitter [the sabertooth tiger]--needed more bitter], but still fun. Expected Morguhn would want to see The Sentinel, but apparently the reviews are bad.

Outback for dinner (where the food was much better than last time we were there, even though I ordered exactly the same thing), and then home.

Morguhn packed for his NYC jaunt, and is now happily "blowing shit up" on the second Rachet and Clank title.

Tomorrow we take him to the train, and then Ro and I are going to have a little girl shopping/eating time. Then home to grade papers and the usual slog.

So, today was a better than average Saturday--lots of sweetie time, clear blue skies, and cuddles. I'll take it.

How long is your boy in the city for?

Just until Tuesday afternoon. He's up to his neck in Masonic stuff in Manhattan. There was a derailment of the train in Cleveland, so he and the brothers were delayed three hours in departure time, which means they will be "well-watered" and bloated on junk food by the time they get there. Ah well--it's a guy thing.
