My office is on the third floor of a three story building.
A three story building with a flat roof.
A three story building with a flat roof that was worked on most of last year, to the tune of $90,000.
We had a mild winter.
We had thunderstorms yesterday, with typical thunderstorm rain.

Don't bother calling me at work--not only boxes, books, and papers trashed, but the phone, too.

Well, at least the water missed my computer.

Sigh.

What bad timing. A few weeks ago, that could have saved you hours of grading.

Remember, whenever God slams a door, somewhere he shatters a window.

Aargh!! Payne Hall is leaking? Did it leak into the President's office? How about your department head? It would be only fair.
I am so sorry about your office, but I am also worried about the library which on the second floor. Do you know if the leaks got down to the books?
If it makes you feel better, it's raining here at the Rome campus and my building's glass roof is leaking into the atrium. As usual.

It seems to be running down support beams and struts, on the outside of walls, but my office floor was pretty soaked.

I'm thinking that the books under my office might be in danger.
